Montgomery Events East Africa has today (16th March 2020) announced that the Kenyan Food, Hospitality & Drinks Events, scheduled to take place at the New Sarit Exhibition Centre 21 – 23 April will be rescheduled to later in the year, following the recent Government advice from Kenya regarding COVID-19.
Following the recent announcement, Kenya's Cabinet Secretary of Health has suspended all public gatherings until further notice. This is an escalation from the 6th March when the Kenyan Ministry of Health banned all conferences and events of International nature in Kenya. Unfortunately, the combined statements make running the Kenyan Food, Hospitality Drink Events impossible and we have therefore had to reschedule the original dates.
We have consulted with our founding sponsors, namely: Sheffield Steel, Electrical and General Appliances, GNorth & Sons, Papyrus, Kitchen Professionals Limited and Clique and we have jointly agreed to reschedule the exhibition until 15-17 September 2020. The decision was made collectively and all of us agree that this decision to reschedule is best for the exhibition.
We understand that this is a huge disappointment for all involved parties, and we were fully prepared to run the event. However, we put our exhibitors and attendees’ health above all, and with the above initiatives from the government, we have no choice but to reschedule the exhibition.
We hope our visitors can appreciate the difficulty of our position, and that the change in dates hasn't caused too much of an inconvenience. We'd love to welcome you to the Kenyan Food, Hospitality & Drink Events later this year.
Thank you in advance for your continued support and understanding. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to get in touch with a team member directly.
